Join JSS

Membership dues

Annual membership dues are 8,000 JPY for each academic year. The academic/fiscal year in Japan is from April 1 to March 31. New members are also required to pay a registration fee of 1,000 JPY for the first academic year.

How to pay

We accept payment by credit card and by money order payable to the Japan Statistical Society. Full payment information is provided on the invoice.

Membership privileges

• Free online access to the English-language Japanese Journal of Statistics and Data Science
• Two print issues per year of the Journal of the Japan Statistical Society (in Japanese)
• Four issues per year of our newsletter, JSS News (in Japanese)
• Eligible to give a talk at the Japanese Joint Statistical Meeting with a discounted registration fee
• Eligible to attend the JSS Spring Meeting
