The primary aim of the Journal of the Japan Statistical Society (JJSS) is to publish original contributions in statistics. The journal is published twice a year. From 2018, all articles in JJSS will be published in Japanese. JSS also cooperates in publishing the English-language Japanese Journal of Statistics and Data Science (JJSD).
All individual members of JSS receive the JJSS and can view JJSD articles online free of charge.
The aim of the JSS Research Series in Statistics is to publish recent results of current research in Japan in the areas of statistics and statistical sciences that otherwise would not be available in English. This series is meant to complement the JJSS and JJSD. Because the scope of research papers in academic journals has generally become narrow and highly specialized in recent years, this series is intended to fill the gap between the results of academic research activities and the format of individual academic papers.
This series will be of interest to a wide audience of researchers, teachers, professional statisticians, and graduate students in many countries who are interested in statistics and statistical sciences, statistical theory, and various areas of applied statistics.
